4The Seniors section at Furness Old Links Golf Club is well established, and has over 36 members. Our section is open to all paid up members aged 55 and over.
The primary objective is to offer registered members an enjoyable eclectic mix of serious and fun golf in a friendly and sociable environment. Although we all enjoy our golf, the fun and banter is very much an important part of the weekly get-togethers.
The Seniors meet twice a week throughout the year usually Tuesdays & Thursdays morning, Partners are chosen at random and it helps new members enjoy their golf and make new friendships along the way.
Between April and September there are weekly home and away matches against the Seniors of other local golf clubs.

The games are played in pairs match play format, followed by a two course meal and, while competitive, are played in a good friendly atmosphere.
The weather can throw up some real challenges in both Summer and Winter, but that does not stop a very enthusiastic bunch of hardy golfers from enjoying their golf.
